Fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegies

No order is too big or too small for Paul and his friendly staff at Pellegrino's.

With more than 40 years’ history in the Dandenong Ranges, Pellegrino’s Fresh Fruits have been supplying locally grown produce, meats and groceries out of Olinda, Upper Ferntree Gully and Wantirna South for decades.
Fresh fruit is a passion that runs in the Pellegrino family, allowing store owner Paul Pellegrino to draw on the expertise of multiple generations. Beginning in 1960, Paul’s grandfather operated a successful Belgrave fruit shop, while the years following saw his father, Tony Pellegrino, step into what was to become the family trade.
Now with stores in both Olinda and Wantirna as well as a market stall at the Ferntree Gully market every Saturday, the Pellegrino fresh fruit enterprise have supplied a number of local cafes, restaurants, hospitals and nursing homes for years.
With such an extravagant history under their belt, it’s easy to see why the Pellegrino website boasts that no order is too big or too small for the staff to handle. Stocking everything a visitor or resident might need for a feast, customers can choose from an array of fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables, as well as 60 different varieties of cheese.
Gardners and green thumbs are also taken care of at Pellegrino’s, with both chicken and sheep manure available for fertiliser, while potting mix can also be collected. Keeping the family warm throughout the winter can also be checked off at the produce stores, with firewood listed among the vast array of products.
A favourite among community members, Pellegrino’s has glowing reviews from their customers, with Facebook users praising the friendly and personal attitudes of the staff, as well as the quality of the fresh produce provided. Pellegrino’s Fresh Fruits can be found at 8 Sunset Avenue, Olinda, from Wednesday- Sunday 9am-5pm; 1151 High Street Road, Wantirna South, from Tuesday-Sunday 7am-7pm; and the railway car park at Upper Ferntree Gully station from 8am every Saturday.
