Discover the hidden creative world of the Yarra Valley’s fabulous artists at the 2018 Open Studios. Ever wondered what inspires artists? How they create their artworks? What their studios are like inside?

With three studio events across the Yarra Valley throughout October and November, you can take your time to see more than 40 fabulous artists along the Maroondah, Melba and Warburton highways.

Share the magical world of inspiration and creativity as the artists demonstrate their skills and techniques or provide a hands-on experience in artistic genres including paintings, ceramics, textiles, paper, photography, sculpture and printing.

To help you plan your trips over the different areas the Major Group Exhibition at The Memo Gallery in Healesville from 28 September to 13 November includes artwork from all artists.

There will be smaller lead-up exhibitions of the Warburton Highway artists at The Waterwheel Gallery in Warburton from October 18 to November 7, and at Coombe Yarra Valley in Coldstream focusing on the Melba Highway artists from 24 October to 11 November.

The Open Studio weekends are Maroondah Highway 6 and 7 October, Warburton Highway 27 and 28 October and Melba Highway 10 and 11 November.

Entry to the exhibitions and studios is free. For more information, including studio locations and artist profiles visit www.yarravalleyarts.org.au or the yvaopenstudios facebook page.
