In today’s economic climate, looking good and staying in the budget is what most people are searching for.
At the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges is the small town of Mount Evelyn that is home to COM Treasure Corner Opportunity Shop on Wray Crescent.
Since its beginning more than 20 years ago, Treasure Corner has been responsible for the building and ongoing support of 26 Outreach Ministry children’s homes in India.
Monies generated by the sale of goods from the shop goes towards this project. Reporter Rebecca Bills took her brother Tim to check out what the opportunity shop has to offer.
“I loved the outfit we found,” Tim said.
“It had a real indie feel and I loved the blue pants teamed with the shirt – the boat shoes and the sun glasses really finished off the outfit.
“I was pleasantly surprised at how modern, fashionable and cheap my outfit was.”
