TAKE in the spring air, enjoy the sun peeking through the clouds and enjoy all that Wandin has to offer this spring.
Take a step back into the times of blacksmiths, wood carving and vintage cars to celebrate yesteryear at historic homestead Mont De Lancey.
Take a trip back in time to Mont De Lancey and an authentic recreation of pioneer life that is sure to engage and entertain visitors of all ages.
Wandin’s earliest brick homestead and its gardens have been fully restored and you can even meet some of the descendants of the pioneer families who will bring local history alive as you tour this award-winning heritage attraction in the beautiful Yarra Valley.
But don’t just stop there; Wandin is full of wonderful views and shops where you could spend a day or weekend.
And don’t forget about the Wandin Silvan Field Days, held on Friday 17-18 October.
The Field Days continue to be the principal focus for the Horticultural and Agricultural producers of the Yarra Valley region, and beyond.
Exhibitors from as far as Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia, as well as from regional and country Victoria, along with a large number from local and metropolitan areas come together to show off their wares.
Mont De Lancey is also holding their Draught Horse and Machinery Festival Weekend on 22-23 November.
Take a historic journey around the pioneer homestead, furnished with items from the homes of descendants of pioneer families or see local wool spinners practise the art.
The art gallery displays a wide variety of artwork featuring contemporary to modern pieces by artists from the Yarra Valley.
The festival is home to a diverse range of classic cars and vintage machinery including stationary engines, pumps and tractors to take you back to the past.
