OFFERING a bar, bistro, function rooms and round the clock access to the customer service desk, Dorset Gardens Hotel is a one-stop shop for entertainment and accommodation in the outer-east.
Located 45 minutes from the Melbourne CBD, each room overlooks the scenic views of the mountainous Dandenong Ranges and is just two minutes away from Croydon’s buzzing main street.
Providing comfortable accommodation to visitors since the late 1960s, the motel-style units have undergone a recent renovation to continue servicing guests with a premium overnight stay experience.
The 45 self-contained units come equipped with air-conditioning, a television, a DVD player, wardrobe, refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities.
Each room also has its own private bathroom, fitted with a bathtub, shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. Guests can also enjoy free on-site parking.
Visitors can choose from a double or twin share room, including two family rooms with a separate lounge area and spa facilities.
Events manager Jaklin Arslan said the hotel’s location was perfect for anyone, whether they were on business, looking for a night of partying or venturing into the Yarra Valley wine region or Dandenong Ranges.
“The Dorset Gardens Hotel offers comfortable and affordable motel-style accommodation for everyone, whether you are attending a business conference or looking for the perfect place to stay.”
Along with the hotel’s bistro and conference/function rooms, the hotel has a widely popular nightclub and sports bar.
A local favourite, the Dorset nightclub promises a night of dancing with top Melbourne DJs playing the latest music, regular drink specials and giveaways. Fleetwood Mac fans can look forward to the hotel’s tribute concert held on Saturday 4 October.
The sports bar, which went through a total refit in the last few months, is fitted with a TAB, an outdoor beer garden, billiard tables and NPL Poker is offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm.
Quality meals are served seven days a week, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The venue is family-friendly, offering meal deals, a children’s playground and arcade video games to let adults enjoy the chef’s seasonal menu in peace.
