IF you don’t already know about the thriving wine culture in the Yarra Ranges, then you probably will soon.
But what many might not know is how many wonderful, awe-inspiring places there are in the region in which you can enjoy a wine.
Be it with friends or family, there is something for everyone.
One of the more adventurous options would have to be the Wine Tour Itinerary option, courtesy of the team at Go Wild Ballooning.
What a fantastic way to celebrate time with friends, sailing over the Yarra Valley in a hot air balloon, while visiting some of the top wineries.
Included in the trip are visits to Yering Station, Balgownie Estate and Domaine Chandon.
The enthusiastic and knowledgeable cellar door staff will help create an incredible, perhaps educational, experience.
If riding high in the sky is not your scene, perhaps your feet not so far off the ground is more your style.
Why not check out Pedals Australia and their great array of options of travelling via bicycle around the many great wineries in the region.
As an added bonus, you can even choose your pick-up location, your drop-off location, and where and when you would like to end your day.
Picking up the pace again, a little music may enliven your experience.
A Day on the Green has been enormously popular since its inception and offers a great way for music-lovers to get among the country air and enjoy some great live music and local wine.
Bring along your deckchairs (maybe even a beanbag) and enjoy a selection of wines available (no BYO).
Booking is available now for the 8 April, 2017, event at Rochford Wines in Coldstream.
Among the top performers are ’80s icons Cyndy Lauper and Blondie.
But – let’s face it – it’s not difficult to find a great location to enjoy wine in the Yarra Valley.
After all, if there’s one thing the region does better than most, it’s the food and wine.
